My Reptile Interests

My profile picture is of one of the Hellbenders I caught along the Allegheny during one of my field herping adventures with the husband :) Good times! We currently have 1 burm, 3 cornsnakes, 5 ball pythons, 2 macklott pythons, 8 green tree pythons, 1 honduran milk snake, 2 rainbow boas and 1 red tailed boa. Unfortunately I am slacking quite a bit on this site and only have pics of a turtle I used to have who just passed away this winter :( If you are interested in pics of our snakes, check out my husband's page he is the photographer. I love riding horses, and am trying to get more into taking pictures. I am not very good at it right now, but hopfully I will have much better pictures to share of my critters soon :) I love walking, hiking and exploring new places. I have been trying lots of new things lately and have also found that I really enjoy making a fool of myself :)

I have a very broad taste in music. I used to be a big metal head, but I now listen to a very large variety depending on my mood, and my music cravings. Anything from Metallica or Faith Hill, to the Cranberries.

I graduated from Penn State Behrend in December 2008 with a Biology Degree. Before attending college, I got certified as a vet assistant, and got a job at the local zoo (Erie) where I worked while attending college and after. I worked there for a wonderful 8 years where I cared for NUMEROUS species (including herps) but my al time favorite is going to have to be the gorilla to this day (sorry herp people lol). My husband and I just recently moved in August 2011 to WV, where I now work as a veterinary assistant.

I am a very out-going person, sometimes even surprising myself lol. I am deff an outside person, and enjoy just sitting in a camp chair in the middle of nowhere waiting for things to come alive with wildlife.
