My Reptile Interests
|
|
I caught ringnecks and garters, turtles and salamanders as a kid and loved herps from then. I bought my first snake, a Burmese Python, about 35 years ago, but sadly, he did not thrive. Balls came next and another break beyond my control. Now I have another Ball! My son has a Russian Tortoise and my daughter fell in love with every snake and beardie at a reptile show last weekend!

I also collect and show model horses and have extensive water gardens.
My kids and I have over 500 Breyers, Stones, artist resins, chinas and customs. Along with them, I research real horse pedigrees and color genetics and give some of my models "parents," either real or from other models. This interest dovetails right into Ball Python color morphs nicely!
I have built 3 ponds and waterfalls in my yard with koi, goldfish and many plants and am active in our local water garden society. Spring, Summer and Fall are outside months for me!
