My Reptile Interests
|
|
I'm interested in animals of all kinds and have kept all sorts of exotic pets. But herps hold a special place in my heart. I started off by keeping amphibians (an American Toad and a pair of Paddletail Newts were my first herps) and eventually moved on to reptiles such as turtles, snakes, and geckos. My love for reptiles probably started when I was a kid, catching garter snakes and frogs in the backyard. One of my earliest memories is seeing a Copperhead snake while hiking with my dad and being completely fascinated.
This year I took an interest in breeding Kenyan sand boas (a species I had kept as a pet for a few years already) and am hoping to produce some in the future.
