My Reptile Interests

Just Ball Pythons right now and I raise my own rodents. I've always been into reptiles but wasn't able to have any as a kid. Then I sort of "grew out" of them as an adult and life took over. I only just got my first Ball in 2010 but now I have a dozen and counting.

I raise my own rodents but hate that I have to feed them to snakes. I don't like it and I never will but I love keeping snakes and there's just no way around their dietary requirements.
I actually enjoy raising the rodents, which is partly why I hate feeding them off. I diligently clean their tubs every week ensuring they have clean bedding, quality food and plenty of fresh water. I keep them in an insulated room in my basement with heat, timed lights and dedicated ventilation. I even handle them as much as possible and do my best to enrich their short lives with toys and treats. Rodents deserve as much respect as the reptiles they are raised to feed.
