My Reptile Interests

I'm new to keeping reptiles but I've been working and learning at a local mom and pop pet store. We carry a LOT of different reptiles and amphibians. If I don't know it, I soon learn it.
I'm a glutton for punishment with some reptiles because I tend to like all the really big, pretty lizards that could do some damage if I'm not careful. My first run in with a young Nile Monitor was a fun and exciting one, but left some scars. ^_^
I'm planning on doing some field herping this year, just to see how healthy our ecosystem is in the NE Houston area.
