My Reptile Interests

I have been a fan of reptiles for... about as long as I can remember. Being introduced to dragons when I was 7 I have been incredibly wanting of their more "real" counterparts for years. So far the only critter I have kept was an aging Garter Snake.
Since then I have been waiting for the right time to get one. AKA: when I have time to devote to getting everything properly set up and get myself properly educated. Especially as the next reptiles I'd like to have are Cresties and Chahoua. I saw them last year at a reptile convention and have been YEARNING for one ever since. I keep seeing them in the petsmarts, petco's etc. but refuse to buy one from one of those facilities... They just never work out between health etc.

Graduated from CWU in 2010 with a BFA in Illustration and metal work. SO I can draw pretty pictures and make shiny things :)
In business my "day job" is working at REI in Sumner, WA at the call center. Yes, I can help you take your order, find your membership number and help you if your neighbors dog devoured your package.
When not at REI I work for the start up board game company Break From Reality Games helping to bring their games to life with spectacular art.

I LOVE Cresties and chahoua though I don't have either yet which makes me sad. :( -- really I'm a lot more mature than that, but this is the internet, so let's have a bit of fun eh? :P
Seriously though, I have the need/want for one of these ((preferably both)) badly, but unfortunately am not willing to spend 200.00 plus on a crestie just to get my foot in the door. MAAAAYBE I'd spend more on the Chahoua, though I'm not sure why they are so much more expensive? Do they take more to breed? Why the price jump?
