My Reptile Interests

I'm newer to the reptile world, last year I got involved with the Eastern WI Herpetological Society and Rescue, based between Green Bay (the armpit!)/Milwaukee/Kenosha. www.easternwiherps.com I’m now secretary. (We're always looking for new members regardless of where you live!) My house is strictly for fosters. I’m owned by 2 cats, 2 ball pythons, and a boa constrictor.

Bellydancing, gardening, cooking, camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, backpacking, mountainbiking. overall nature freak.
I'm a certified storm spotter - no I do not "chase" tornadoes, but I am able to identify severe weather and report it to the NWS/NOAA.
History geek, numismatist, I've been known to dance at the grocery store checkout. In summer I frequent historical rendezvous/muzzleloading/fur trade encampments.
Family tree researcher /genealogist, I've researched my family back 10 generations on one side into Germany, also Wales, Indonesia, Holland.
I ride a motorcycle, Member of BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) -Maritime chapter.

I work as a musician at the Bristol Renaissance Faire.

I like Rock/Alt/Punk/Metal, I've gone to Ozzfest a couple times, recently I've seen Flogging Molley, AC/DC, Black Crowes, Blue October, Sevendust... I like Jazz &Blues, Big Band/Swing, Folk/Bluegrass, Musicals, Classical, Celtic, Eastern, world music...
I play multiple instruments: doublebass and bass guitar, mallet percussion (marimba, timpani), hand drums (djembe, congas), of course guitar (lead and rhythm, acoustic or electric), mallet percussion (marimba, timpani), hand drums (djembe, congas), concert flute, some piano, and I sing in choirs. I’ll sometimes play with local performing groups or artists, or community groups. I like jamming and jazzing with friends, drummings, coffee shops, open mics, and concerts. Definitely hit me up if you’re ever my way and wanna jam. :)
Right now I'm gigging with a band called Water Street Bridge based out of Milwaukee, but at any given time I'm playing with a bunch of different groups or people.

But here's a start: Watchmen, Batman Begins/Batman Returns, Dracula, Gladiator, The Edge, LOTR, HP, The count of monte cristo, Dawn of the Dead, shawn of the dead, super troopers, Aliens, Xmen, Silence of the lambs, pulp fiction, cold mountain, Myst of Avalon, dances with wolves, monty python, eurotrip, Clerks...
I like documentaries, horror - but I hate cheesy, historical fiction/drama, comedy, good scifi.
TV: I barely watch TV, but I like cartoons. Southpark, beavis & butthead, aqua teen hunger force, daria, power puff girls, simpsons, family guy, spongebob, American dad. & Fraggle rock, Seinfeld, 3rd rock from the sun,
And old-school Mario and DK platform games pre N64 are awesome.

I returned to college, I love it. I’m currently pursuing my masters in social work, and bachelors in music (doublebass, percussion), looking to go music therapy. HOWEVER now I am also considering going vet-tech...! I love animals, and medical sciences come naturally to me but up until now I've never thought about doing it. Also thinking about certificate in natural science (meteorology, astronomy, anthropology, geology). Once upon a time I was a history and theology major, I love the study of religions, mythology, and folklore... I own way too many books and I'm often reading several at once.

I've had 11 reconstructive intestinal surgeries and I'm very passionate about rights for the physically disabled, and social security/Medicare reform. I basically lost half my life battling intestinal illness and was homebound for a 5 year period. I now have a rare type of ostomy called a BCIR, as does my mom who is also an RN. I don't do anything trendy (this includes FB and skinnypants), hate wearing shoes, and i have a very vulgar, sarcastic and cynical sense of humor.
I live in an old house that I call my cottage that currently does not have hot water, the roof is starting to leak, and there's monsters in my basement.
