My Reptile Interests
|
|
I got my first snake when I was 17, and it was all downhill from there. I currently keep and breed Green Tree Pythons, Ball Pythons, and I am attempting to breed my Eastern Indigos for the first time this year. I am also the supervisor of the Cal Poly Pomona Vivarium which houses more than 200 reptiles and amphibians. I am also working on my Master's in Biology, studying the effects of temperature on strike performance in the Southern Pacific Rattlesnake. I do lots of field herping for my research, but this seems like its been kind of a bummer year for Southern Pacifics.

Other Interests

|
I love hiking with my two dogs, and sometimes the little dog too. I also have two horses and love to go trail riding, although the Master's project has gotten in the way of that a bit. If I ever have free time again I would love to get back into ceramics and also to go back to my karate classes.

Country girl here. If it has a twang to it I probably like it.

Movies
|
|
I like action movies and comedies. I'm not real fond of movies that try to tear at the emotions. D.E.B.S., Laura Croft Tomb Raider, Salt, Hot Fuzz, Saved, Skulls and But I'm a Cheerleader are some of my favorites. Anything with Angelina Jolie I'd consider worth watching and I like most movies with Vin Diesel.

I am a full time student working on my Master's in Biology. I work part time as a TA, teaching ZOO 238L or as my students like to call it "the class from Hell", and as the supervisor of the building 8 Vivarium at Cal Poly Pomona. I also do odd jobs like house or pet sitting, anything to not make me take out loans for school.
