My Reptile Interests

Snakes have been an interest of mine since I can remember. Kept corns, balls, California King, a couple rough green snakes, a snow corn, banded water snake, ringnecks, and was always field herping whenever I had the chance. Obviously, most of those I mentioned don't fare well in captivity. I lost interest in keeping them. Fast forward 18-20 years and I bought Caedus. He's just a normal pet shop boa but he's IMO the best looking one. I wasn't expecting the personality or temperament. I had thought about breeding boas but it's a pretty crowded area. I've since acquired a pair of somewhat higher end carpet pythons. While not as chill as boas, they are very cool, very different snakes. Also the genetic variants in terms of inheritance,etc, seem limitless and I'm in the process now of outlining a breeding plan for the next 5-10 years. Who knows, maybe people will buy some of the babies I produce......
