My Reptile Interests

So far, I mostly keep leos...and they keep me! Drake was my very first Handsome in 2001, and after a TON of consideration; I purchased my first breeders in 2006 and began breeding in 2007. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
We're experimenting with breeding Bandeds this year (Coleonyx variegatus), we'll keep everyone posted on that. Also interested in future expansion into other Coleonyx species, I would love some Coleonyx mitratus.
I am avidly interested in Goniurosaurus LUII. The plan is to go at the speed of molasses and work my way up to as many Eublepharids as possible: they are positively my cup of tea!

Other Interests

I read a lot on random and obscure things, such as Stone Age villages on the Danube and associated trade routes along the Curonian Spit. Or the evolution of condylarths. Things like that. I am fascinated by anthropology, psychology, sociology. Biology, nutritional genomics, naturopathy. A lot of -ologies, actually.
I also love gardening, I got a community patch this year and I'm very excited to get digging!

hmmm...favorite bands...VNV Nation, Covenant, A23, Delerium, things like that...I LOVE KEXP and think everyone else should, too: ( http://kexp.org/Default.aspx ) , seriously, they have something for everyone...I love Billie Holiday and old jazz, blues. I like Nora Jones. My main music interests span from 1985-1995, heavy on the synthpop, but there's SO much amazing music out there, I can't pick a favorite, really; it depends on my mood...Some days I feel like Simon&Garfunkel and the Beatles, some days I feel like "Die Moldau", some days I feel like Metallica, some days I even want jaunty bluegrass (old school bluegrass).

My background is healthcare accounting and medical assisting. I just started going back to school for my LPN ( and hopefully RN or BSN, after). I work as a patient care associate for PET/CT scans, which is really fun, I get to look at guts all day without touching them. I have a HUGE lifelong interest in integrative health, using naturopahy where appropriate to augment western medicine practices.
