Overview

wild caught female jaya type (kelme) paired with a farm bred male biak type (Pantani). Kelme has been off food for over 30 days and has been cruising her cage. This is normally a sign that she is ready to breed. Pantani has been cruising his cage and refused his last meal. The were paired on 5/1/2010. Nightly copulations have been observed. This is a repeat of an unsuccessful pairing in the fall of 2008.
