My Reptile Interests
|

I started my love affair with reptiles when i was just a little kid. That didn't go too far because my mom was/is deathly afraid of snakes. It wasn't till I was around 14 years old, that I got my first reptile, a ball python. From there, I went on to keep all different species of monitors.
Then I saw my first picture of a Dream Line chondro that was on Greg Maxwell's site! If not mistaken, I sold all my monitors within 6 weeks.
I did a great deal of research on chondros before I got my first one.
For the past 9 years,I have pretty much just kept chondros. I try to go do field herping whenever I get the chance to do so. I've got some great friends here in Texas, who share the same affinity for chondros and reptiles, as I do. For that, I am very thankful and lucky.
if i was to get into something besides chondros, i think it would have to be amazon basin emeralds or tree monitors. while i don't think they're on par with chondros....they're almost there!

Other Interests

Besides chondros, not much else besides: fishing, collecting autographs, and playing/coaching soccer. I have two daughters who are just about excited about reptiles as I am. I like to live life to the fullest and without any regrets.

Music

I don't play anything,but I enjoy music. i especially like punk rock, new wave, and rock. And NO, I don't have a podcast! I do listen to a bit of everything, from country to disco!
My favorite bands/singers would have to include: the Cure, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Information Society, the Pixies, Jesus and Mary Chain, the Lightning Seeds, the Violent Femmes, the Ramones, Dead Kennedy's, Nitzer Ebb, NIN, Social Distortion, Robert Earl Keen, Charlie Robison, and Pat Green.
I'm sure the list could go on and on...............:)

Movies

I don't have too much time to watch movies, but i enjoy watching horror flix. Fave actors would probably be Johnny Depp, Keifer Sutherland, and the late River Phoenix. Fave actresses would have to be Neve Campbell, Christina Ricci, Megan Fox, and Piper Perabo...hell there are a bunch of them!
I do watch alot of tv though. Favorite shows would have to include: all the CSI's, The Unit, 24, Bones, and NCIS.

I just started going back to school at the beginning of September to get my Respiratory Therapist degree. I'm just beginning to start my third semester where we start going to clinicals. I am pretty nervous and excited at the same time, but I am up for the challenge and know that I can do it.
