My Reptile Interests
|
|
I started my love affair with reptiles when i was just a little kid. That didn't go too far because my mom was/is deathly afraid of snakes. It wasn't till I was around 14 years old, that I got my first reptile, a ball python. From there, I went on to keep all different species of monitors.
Then I saw my first picture of a Dream Line chondro that was on Greg Maxwell's site! If not mistaken, I sold all my monitors within 6 weeks.
I try to go do field herping whenever I get the chance to do so. I've got some great friends here in Texas, who share the same affinity for reptiles as I do. For that, I am very thankful and lucky.
As of late, have been accruing some carpets. I am still "green" when it comes to them, but have been trying to learn as much about them as I can. while i don't think they're on par with chondros....they're almost there!

Other Interests

Besides chondros, not much else besides: fishing, collecting autographs, and playing/coaching soccer. I have two daughters. Emily and Cassey are just about excited about reptiles as I am. I like to hang out with fellow chondro/reptiles heads in the metroplex. Have met some very cool people in the hobby in the time I have been into it.
I like to live life to the fullest and without any regrets. Might get me in trouble from time to time......but it's all good!:)

My favorite bands/singers would have to include: the Cure, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Information Society, the Pixies, Jesus and Mary Chain, the Lightning Seeds, the Violent Femmes, the Ramones, Dead Kennedy's, Nitzer Ebb, NIN, Social Distortion, Robert Earl Keen, Charlie Robison, Pat Green, Type O Negative, Drop Kick Murphy's, New Order, Moby, Tupac, Eminem, CCR, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Rob Zombie, White Zombie, INXS, Souxie and the Banshees, Poison, Def Leppard, Skid Row, Warrant, Ozzy Osbourne, Green Day, and The Clash.
I have a very broad spectrum of the things I listen to, as you can tell. Right now for some reason, I'm in a really hardcore rap frame of mind! go figure!

I don't have too much time to watch movies, but i enjoy watching horror flicks.
I do watch alot of tv though. Favorite shows would have to include: all the CSI's, The Unit, 24, Bones, Shark, and NCIS.

Professional

I started going back to school in September of 2008, to get my Respiratory Therapist degree. I'm just beginning to start my fourth semester where we are in the middle of ICU clinicals. I am pretty nervous and excited at the same time, but I am up for the challenge and know that I can do it. Halfway done, so I have to! I have no other choice.
