Comments: So, as the story goes, I once upon a time bought a baby CBB black rat snake, and named him Batman. One fateful day, he disappeared. Right around the same time, the HUGE female hypo Brooks king that I was holding for a friend disappeared, and returned several days later, satisfied, and with a full belly. Hasta la vista, Batman 1. I tried my luck again, bought another Batman from the same breeder, this time, a female. She was MUCH friendlier than her dearly departed predecessor, and I had her for several months until, without fail, she disappeared. Rat snakes are my only escapees, I swear. Anyway, moving on - I thought my days of owning black rats were over - when several months later, a friend of mine had to move across the country and couldn't keep the majority of her snake collection. Guess what was part of the going-away-package for me? ...another female black rat snake, from the same breeder, and the same clutch. Obviously, I was meant to have this snake, so I took Batman 3 home and prepared to get her ready to put her into a nice cushy new tub on the rack. When WHAT do my wandering eyes did appear - - ? Batman 2. Sitting in the rack. Warm. Cranky. And ready to party.

The girls live together in peace and harmony, coil up and sleep in their log together, and, I'm convinced, they're of the same brain. So, that being said, here we are, with Batman 2 and Batman 3. Captive bred black rats are HIGHLY underrated, and I would recommend them to anyone who can find them. :-) -- I'm sure you can imagine how interesting feeding time is.
