Comments:	I bought Gus from the local pet store in Jax, NC in about 2000, while I was still on active duty. This was not the most intelligent time to buy an animal, but I was kinda going nuts over not having any herps in my life anymore for about 3 years. My husband is not a herper, and for him, Gus was his first snake ever. They bonded quite well. Unfortunately, my husband got orders to Hawaii, in 2002, where "carnivorous snakes" are illegal, so I gave him to a friend of ours who apparently used to own a BCI before she enlisted in the USMC; a "closet herper." :) She wrote me in 2004 to let me know that he passed away, for no apparent reason.
