Animal Name: Total Awesomeness
Species: Amethystine python
Morelia amethistina
Sex: Male
Morph: Patternless?
Comments: I got this guy from Tom Crutchfield in the spring of '09. He has a great temperment (but a typical Morelia feeding response), and he's possibly the coolest snake I've ever owned. I'm not exactly sure what he is. He's about 10 feet long and about 10 pounds. He looks like a patternless southern, but sometimes he shows a faint pattern. Whatever he is, he's unique and unusual, and a friend of mine recently acquired a female just like him. We hope to pair them next year. NOTE: This animal is now in the collection of David Means in Virginia. I miss him already, but with David he will have a cage more than twice the size of what he had here and a chance to be productive. That is what's most important to me, and there isn't another person on the planet to whom I would have rather sent this beautiful creature. He will be pairing this male with a very similar patternless female (yeah that's right, amethystine morphs) and his rare 16 ft. Biak female.

Love the profile pic! I was laughing because you said he has a great temperament, but then I look over and see bloody bite pics.

He is one nice looking Morelia!! If I had the room, I would love to add one to my collection one day.

Very cool scrub. I love that golden eye color against the golden scales.
