Animal Name: Fat Head
Species: Common Corn Snake
Elaphe guttata guttata
Sex: Unknown
Comments: Fat Head came to me as a rescue. He is currently undergoing some medical treatment. The lump on his face is possibly a tumor or a long ignored abcess that has begun to rebuild itself. Surprisingly he seems to have no trouble feeding.

We aren't entirely sure yet. My Vet and I are working on it. Its possible that he was bitten by a mouse or rat at one time and the abcess went ignored long enough for the flesh to regrow and push the infection. Or its possible that it could be a tumor. The wound is very vascular so this has been an ongoing issue. He came to me as a rescue and is on meds right now. This one is going to take some time to figure out and heal.
