My Reptile Interests

I've loved and had reptiles all my life. Being born and raised in Nebraska, I caught all kinds of stuff as a kid. Skinks, snakes, box turtles, etc. The most surprising was when my cousin and I were skipping rocks on my Grandpa's lake and I reached into the sand and grabbed a really flat rock. Turns out that rock poked a little snout out and surprised the hell out of me!!! It was a small softshell turtle about 2.5 inch shell diameter. Most animals were kept for a few days and released, although I did donate a wild caught western hognose to the zoo once when I was 12. Right now I have an adult Cali King that I bought as a baby in March of 2005. I also have 2 Cornsnakes that I got in 2007. Actually one isn't REALLY mine even though I do all the work. I don't do any field herping anymore since I live in Alaska now and the wild herps are nonexistent as far as I know. The only ones you hear about are escapees!
