I'm an avid book-collector. My biology and philosophy collections are quite strong, and I also have a nice collection of old editions of Marxist texts.
Animal-wise, our household also has a wonderfully cute and incredibly naughty parrot, and quite a few tarantulas.

I am an evolutionary biology PhD student. I used to work with live animals in my research a long time ago, but these days I'm mainly a theoretician. I use mathematical methods to solve foundational problems in evolutionary theory. I also have a philosophy background, which can often come in handy.
