My Reptile Interests

I currently do not have any herps at this time. I do alot of field herping, and I often come accross Garter snakes, Fox snakes, Rat snakes, Erie Water snakes,Queen snakes, Turtles.
Before there was construction to build a new sports arena on top of my area's only Garter snake Hybernaculomb, I came across hundreds of Garter snakes, often doing my own monthly personal population survey. I can't do that anymore because the snakes homes are gone now, completly destroyed in less than 1 year, by a mayor who couldn't care less about animals.
Before all that destruction though, I came to hold many local titles for rare reptile sightings:
1: In 2000 I captured, wrestled, and found a new home for a 3-4 foot american alligator now named Joe, that was swimming in my local river.
2: In 2001 I came across 1 of 3 of my neighborhoods only confirmed sightings of a rattlesnake. Still unconfirmed wether if it is a Masassauga or Diamondback!
3: In 2003 I had the first confirmed discovery of a Blue Racer in Windsor, Ontario Canada! (I was catching Garter snakes in a marsh-wreed patch when a full-grown, 1 meter long Blue Racer Bite my Rubber Boot, and wrapped around it, and hung on for an hour before letting go!, going back into what was a prime snake-filled forest.
