Hey guys.. I understand where you are coming from 100%. im not at all upset from your comments. He was raised around small dogs though, and cats. the previous owners had little shelties and would put Sammy around the dogs neck and let the dogs walk around the house with him there. i know this does not mean anything in the long run. if he really wanted to, he could eat Pip. he pays no attention at all to the cat though. I do not let them hang out together though, knowing the risks. its been a while since they have been together or even near each other. there are plenty of snakes that are "dog/cat friendly" My animals are my babies and i cherish them so much. spend more money and time on them than anything else in this world. One time the cat accidentally snuck into my room hen i left it to take a shower. the kitten was quick and ran in and right under my bed (which has been moved away from my door since then so it cant happen again since the foot of my bed was right next to my door) i didnt realize this until i went back in there to put him back into his cage. I let him out to excersize while i was in the shower. i found sammy huffing and puffing, trying to squeeze into my closet to get away from the cat, who was trying to play with him. Sammy was not hurt, i keep kitty caps on his claws so he doesnt scratch the furniture. i think if Sammy wanted to eat him, he would have done it then.

1/10 of a second later and you have no cat - this is REALLY irresponsible. A kitten is a prey animal, your snake won't see it any differently.

I think this is the most stupid thing you could EVER do if you love both those animals! I really hope you're not doing this often/again because this could go VERY wrong!!!! It would be really sad if the cat should pay the bill for your mistake...
