Comments:	Whew! This hatchling had me worried! After the two deformed babies in this clutch, I had some definite uneasiness when this baby didn't come out of its egg in a decent time frame. It appears that the hole it had cut on its own in the shell while pipping was too small, and it had tired itself out badly trying to fight its way out (poor judgement, must not have read the manual). In my fear that it could have been a 3rd deformed baby (thank goodness it is not!), I cut the shell between the holes it had already made (it had pulled its head back in for a while), and then effectively in a "starburst pattern" so that I could confirm that it was not misshapen, but did not cut any pieces of the egg away. I did the cutting around 6:30 am, and checked again at 10:30 am, and this baby had fully emerged, and was hanging out with mom. The dam of this clutch, Sue, probed really deep for a female; so deep I really wasn't sure she was a female until there were eggs "on the ground." Sue probed to 4 subcaudals on one side and 5 on the other. All of the babies in this clutch probe similarly deep, so I am personally of the opinion that this one is a female, but there is some debate. Sold to Sailfin Pets. Please notify me of you think you have purchased this animal. :)
