Q:

DIY Styrofoam backgrounds?
|
|
I keep seeing these really amazing cage backgrounds which I assume are made out of some sort of styrofoam, does anyone know of where I could go to see how this is done? Be it books, internet, etc. I'm really interested in them, and I think I would like to do this in the future.

(like that, I think?)
I appreciate your help!

I believe that is made of styrofoam and grout, then painted and sealed. We have just used the same technique to make a circus tent and background for our curly tailed lizards. The site below has LOTS of information on building basking ledges, hides and elaborate habitats. You can watch a few videos and get the idea of how to build a background - that's how we did it. Very cheap too.
