My female BP found a way to get inbetween the 2 lids I have on her tank. In doing so she gouged a hole in the top of her head and the scale is sticking out a bit. I'd like to put some polysporin or neosporin on it but I don't know if this is safe or not. Treatment options please?!

How bad is it? Bleeding? Can you see flesh?

I'd clean the area and apply some Neosporin.

Hopefully the animal is fine, usually with external injuries reptiles in gneral are little tanks. Also George, when they do injure themselves they will enter a rapid shed cycle and shed once a week or so, speeds up the healing process incredibly.

Burn

Don't use Neosporin with "pain relief".

Plain neosporin is perfectly safe
