Q: Cleaning up after a big one
Posted By:

i recently switched my entire collection over to vinyl flooring.  Its been about a month since then, and the snakes were fed about a week ago.  My baby burm and adult rtb decided to let loose last night. its already all cleaned up, with the loss of almost an entire roll of paper towel (lots of pee).  anyone out there have any better ideas on what to use to clean up defecate from tile?  also, is it good enough to just wipe it away?  i feel like i need to sanitize the tile again with some sort of cleaning agent.

I sanitize with a diluted bleach solution. (3/4 teaspoon per cup of water)

I usually use Chlorox Wipes, but a spray bottle of dilute bleach is cheaper.

There is a really great product made for birds called "Poop Off".  This stuff is great and it works like a charm on big piles of bird poop.  I've not yet used it for reptiles but I bet it would work well.  It's not exactly cheap though.

I've used the diluted bleach... but I've also used the hand sanitizer <acahol based>.
