I'd breed neither.

cresties right now are a dime a dozen (unless you're keeping some super high end stuff or something very different).  there are so many great breeders out there that the market's dropping.

if I were you, if you've recently lost 2 leos and you don't know why, you'd be insane to start a breeding program. if you have something communicable in your colony, it would be very irresponsible to pass it onto offspring.

this is just my opinion, but I honestly don't think you should breed either one, and definitely not your leos, which may be carrying something contagious like crypto or other disease.

I agree with Aimee. According to vet statistics, 90% of Leo's sold through Petco and Petsmart are infected with crypto, or are carriers of crypto without displaying symptoms. That's a huge amount of the Leo population. It'd be a very poor choice on your end to start breeding with a disease like that as a possibility.

Both of those geckos are extremely common. My suggestion to you would be this. I would not start a huge breeding program if I were you. If you want to experience breeding, do it ONCE, and prepare homes for the offspring BEFORE you even introduce the parents. Either that, or prepare for them so that you don't get stuck with "unwanted" or "excess" babies.

Otherwise, I would not consider any sort of breeding project unless you have morph goals, and high end morph goals at that, something that there is actually a market for.

Before you  get anything new, I'd try to find out why the previous two geckos died.
