Q: Water bowl tipping in BP rack

Ok. Does anyone have any ideas how to keep water dishes from being kicked over in a tub/rack setup? I have gone through 3 rolls of paper towels in 4 days. I am using plastic crock type bowls. I know they are light but there has to be someway I can keep these down somehow with regards to the safety of the animals right?

You can go heavy and get ceramic ones, or what I use are lightweight bowls with sloped sides - where the base is bigger than the top, and it's a rarity that mile will flip them.

Miss Andrea

You can also get ones that are too tall to tip over in the rack. Or use deli cups with a PVC section around them, I've heard of people having luck with them.

We use plumbing cuffs and deli cups in our racks. You could hot glue the crock bowls down and use deli cup liners.

George, David carries a bowl(tan bowl with blue interior) that's perfect for your rack. They come in 3 sizes and the med is just right. Rico uses these in his racks and then slips a plastic deli cup inside it. Easier to change the water. Seems to have less spillage with these bowls! Good luck!
