Hi everyone, I was curious if a 12x12x18 Exo Terra tank would be good to house an adult crested in.....also the same for a white's dumpy, in two different ones obviously! :D Thanks for the help!

A 12 x 12 x 18 Would be ok for an adult Crested, I personally house mine in 12 x 12 x 24 though. as for the frogs I don't know, hopefully someone else can help you out with that.

Thats way more than enough space for a single Dumpy's...I've seen them housed in much larger...but I also personally think that they could be housed in a smaller tank still. As for the crested for a single adult that's enough space, but as most know they are addictive and it will not be enough for two...

I personally think a 12x12x18 is just too small for an adult crested. I keep my adult small day geckos in that size. I think the minimum size for an adult crestie should be an 18 cube; my small adult male lives in that size, and my larger adult female has an 18x18x24. They both use every inch of their vivs. I'd go with an 18 cube for both the crestie and the dumpy.

I keep my cresty in the 12x12x18 and he does well. I have a wide leaved silk plant that he hides in and he switches from leaf to leaf. I have kept a white's which are close to the size of dumpy's in a ten g, I think that's pretty close to the same footprint as the 12x12. Keeping it clean is important and you can always add a hollow log for some extra hiding spots.

Opps, I meant I house my Cresteds in 18 x 18 x 24. That's what I get for staying up to late haha

I agree that a 12x12x18 is too small. It's suggested you keep them in atleast 20 gallons and a 12x12x18 only = 11 gallons without the backround.

We have our lone female in one, and she seems to be doing well. When I had her paired with her mate, they were in a 29 gallon aquarium.

@shellboa: Whites are Dumpys
12x12x18 is approx a 10 gal, Which I would consider big enough for an adult crested, but a WTF needs something twice that size.
