I just bought a baby Kenyan Sand Boa yesterday. I wanted to get an approximation of its age, it is about 7 or 8 inches long and weighs 14 grams. (Sex unknown)

I went to the ReptiCon in Sarasota this past Saturday and took home a little baby Kenyan Sand Boa. It is about 7 to 9 inches in length, and weighs 14grams. I am not sure how old this snake is, but I would like to get a rough estimate. I bought it as an unsexed snake, but after I popped it I am pretty sure it is a female (I want to get a second opinion, or just wait until it is fully grown). Any input as to the age of this snake would be great!
Thanks in advance! :)

To be honest there is really no way to know except getting the info from the breeder. Different snakes (even from the same clutch or litter) will grow at different rates, eat more or less often and there really isn't any way to tell without asking who ever bred the little one. Best you can go by is the year they were born (probably late 2010). Other than that though, no one can be sure.
