Is there a greater nutritional value for bp's and chondras feeding pinky mice instead of pinky gerbils?

I would stay away from gerbils just so your snakes dont aquire a taste for them and become picky ....as far as nutrition goes i dont think pinkies of any rodent cary much good nutrition there is little calcium or muscle just lots of fat I was told by the chondro lord to get my animals off pinks and onto fuzzys as soon as possible and to avoid pink rats and go with smaller mice instead he said a mouse was way more healthy a meal

I agree with Michael! I have heard the same about pinkies, but I know from personal experience that having a snake hooked on gerbils is a PAIN and EXPENSIVE! Same for hamsters, too. Stick with icky mice and rats. LOL

I know nothing about Chondros. But, I feed all of my baby Ball Pythons mice for the first few months. By the time I am switching them to weaned rats they are taking small adult mice (15-20 g) This might help as well. It is based on some survey done but this version doesn't include deer etc. www.house-of-reptiles.com/feedervertebrates.pdf
