Q: Using plastic containers for leopard gecko

Hey everyone,

We are moving into a smaller apartment soon so I am trying to save space with my animals. I have a juvenile snow corn and am getting a leopard gecko. I was wanting to put them into a sterelite or similar plastic tub rack system. I know how to keep the heat, by using heating pads or heat tape hooked up to a thermostat, but how would the animals get their 12 hour photoperiod with using the plastic tubs? Thanks in advance!

Floof

The good thing about corn snakes and leopard geckos is they're nocturnal, and don't "need" any extra light. The ambient light from the room they're in, i.e. the indirect sunlight from the windows, is plenty during the day.

+1 Floof, they don't need light really as they are nocturnal. The light in the room is plenty for them.
