Ok so New to the Sand Boa world. I got mine from a breeder I have used before for cornsnakes. Its DOB is 9/30/11 I got it on 11/13 and have been unable to get it to eat. The feeding chart I got with her said she ate Live pinky on 10/14, 10/17 and Frozen Thawed pinky on 11/5. I have tryed to to feed twice now 5 days apart and she showes no intrest at all? Any thoughts on what is up?

They're just stubborn. My male is a stubborn eater.
I forget who recommend it but he loves when it's dipped in egg yolk. So I dip it in egg yolk put him in a paper bag wtih it and leave him for a few hours. He's gotten much better. I recommend it. :P

picky is a key word. Try wiggling on top of a surface mimicking a prey item on the substrate, and they might strike, although some of my guys have to eat in a small box with the prey inside.

Good luck! dont give up!

Mine will only eat live and over night. If anything is going on in the room she wont eat. I look at the bottom of the tank to see were she is then drop the feeder about an inch away from her on the top of the bedding. I may have to try the egg yoke thing when I switch her to F/T.

Personally I always take mine out of it's cage to feed. When they're bigger I don't want them to think my hand on top of the substarte is a mouse.

Yup, small tub works good. Or paper bag all folded up.

You could try braining it. Make sure it's really warm. But your probably better off just trying in 5 days. For my female I got her on 9/11 she hadn't eaten at all yet. It took me like 2 months or so to get her to eat. Since she's had her first meal she's eaten every 5 days like a good girl. My male however is all over the place with his eating. He hasn't eaten in like a month. :/  They're really stubborn eaters.
