Q:

Nix not eating...
|
|
In Relation To:
Nix [Snow]

|
|
Nix has suddenly stopped eating. We've been feeding him a pinkie once every 5 days, and he's always been a good eater, other than the first month he was home with us. The last time he shed was 4 weeks ago, and the last time he ate was two weeks ago. Since I haven't seen the little Nixie in a while since he's not with me 24/7 and I work a lot,
I'm worried because my boyfriend's thinking it's out of the ordinary since he says that he has never changed Nix's routine and neither has Nix objected. Now, I'm a little concerned; therefore, I'm asking, should I be?

Its time for the males to start breeding but he sounds too small for that, check to see if your temps are correct husbandry is half the battle

If temps are fine, I'd say it's time for his next shed. He's a baby right? That would be my first guess. Mine shed about once a month & they often refuse if they're about to go into a shed cycle.

Two weeks is too soon to be too worried. lol They can go much longer without feeding.
It sounds like you've been feeding him good so be patient and give him some time.
I'm sure he'll get hungry sooner or later.

Nix still hasn't touched a pinkie and hasn't shed either. Worry now?
