I would make sure the bath water is warm enough and jack up his heat a little till his next shed . keep an eye on him make sure there are no other sighns of an RI ,, Open mouth breathing , Bubbling , Puffing neck .. ect.. I would think if he had mites bad he will be shedding faster then usual this time around .. Good luck with it .. let us know how he is doing

Could be he's getting ready to shed, I've heard mine make a weird sound before shedding. Definately check for an RI though, if you see any of the signs Michael listed get him to a vet.

Could be loose or stuck shed in his nose. Bump up his temps 1-2 degrees and just watch for any other signs of RI. My pastel male had the same thing and when I looked closely I could see a tiny little flap of stuck shed in his nose, it came out with the next shed.

The one experience I had with a clicking sound (popping) combined with a whistle turn out to be an RI. Sounds like it could be early stages. Hopefully just some stuck nose shed, but definitley up the temps a few degrees and the humidity as well, and watch for the bubbling or for the whistle/popping to become more regular as many others have suggested.
I wouldn't bathe her either if she is having bad sheds, as this will only continue the bad shed cycle. Only if she has mites or is dehydrated do they really need a bath. I usually let mine play in a damp towel for cleanings. For dry eyes or stuck eye caps, try a small dab of Mineral Oil once a day for a few days. Has worked wonders for me, and it is cheap at cvs ($7 ish). I have had my bottle for 2+ years, and have barely even dented it.
Fingers crossed for you that it is just stuck shed.

Sorry for the delay in reply. I have been away from the forum for a few days. I don't have any hair so I cannot attest to that. I pretty much look like
In all seriousness though, I can understand hearing the breathing a bit more when they are closer to your ear. This does happen with mine as well. Even a little whistle from time to time is not something I would worry too much on. It is more the consistent whistle combined with the popping sound (again consistently), that would make me start to worry.
I am not sure if hair or possibly certain chemicals/products in the hair would cause a sneezing reaction in the BP... I will have to ask my wife if she has ever noticed anything like that. Also, any others feedback on this would be great. I have never heard one of my balls do something I would attribute to a sneeze. The popping sound is more like a click.
As for the clicking.. The one time I had dealt with this in my rescue normal it was very noticeable, even from a distance, and was consistent until I got her on antibiotics.
All in all, don't stress, keep an eye/ear on it. If it progresses into an RI, you WILL know. The signs I look for: consistent clicking, yawning (you will notice this easily with frequency and a very wet mouth), and whistling normally followed by or in conjunction with loss of appetite, weight loss, dehydration, and bubbling around the mouth. All and all... An unhappy snake and major deviation from their normal personality.
If your husbandry is good and you increased the temps and humidity slightly, chances are you will knock any trouble out before it turns into anything major.
Hope this helps.
