What does everyone feel the best substrate is for a kenyan sand boa? Ive always read not yo use actual sand, so Ive never done that... Ive tried crushed walnut, but read that if ingested it could kill them, Ive tried aspen and Im now trying eco earth coconut fiber, but Im worried it hold too much moisture... Just wondering what everyone would suggest to be the best! Thanks!

I prefer Carefresh recycled newspaper bedding or Sani-chips, but Aspen works as well. I'd advise against eco-earth for KSBs, since it is fairly dusty and retains moisture very well. Sand is no good as it isn't very sanitary and can easily cause impaction if the snake for some reason ingests it.
