If it was on the body in a non-vital area it should heal up just fine, just make sure to keep it clean. If it was a severe bite, like to the eye, mouth etc he will need to see a vet, but I'm sure you would've mentioned if it was something like that. Good luck!

+1 Doom. Snakes WILL switch to F/T when they get hungry. I ususally skip a feeding then offer f/t. Burms are known to be good eaters, so I'm sure he'll switch for you.

Ditto what those above said. If he is reluctant at first to the F/T I'd suggest investing in a pair of feeding tonges. Let him get hungry and "wiggle" the food in front of him (using the tonges). He will hit it. I'm guessing he's young if your feeding him mice. More than likely if he is young he'll eat it without you having to wiggle it. Hungry, young pythons are not usually picky. I have a young ball, the guy I got him from "swore" wouldn't touch F/T. I've had him 6 months and I've never feed him live, he's never refused a F/T.

have u tried feeding FT before? i know burms r pretty quick to eat anything u put in front of them. even picky balls will switch. i had a ball for 2 years that wouldnt eat FT so i would give him a smaller live prey item then feed him a FT right after. and slowly he got the point.

My burm was very hesitant to switch her food. However, after offering the food to her on two different occassions, with refusal, she eventually got hungry enough to just eat the damn thing. And ever since, she hasn't given me any problems.
The assumption that all burms are like garbage disposals, no matter what the meal, is , in my experience, not always true. My girl have me hell and an empty wallet just trying to get her to switch. But it happened, even though she didn't eat for a month, when she finally gave in, she's been very receptive ever since.

wipe the would clean with antibacterial soap and water. then pour peroxide on it and let it bubble. then get some triple aid ointment and a large "patch style" bandaid made from fabric not rubber. keep an eye out for puss and excessive swelling.

Peroxide is not good for herps, it can dry out tissue and good luck keeping a bandage and a snake.

JWieczerza: you really put peroxide on snakes? It's proven to not even be good for people anymore... But hey, I'm a gecko person, so I don't know about snakes :)
