Q: New Red Tail Boa and no UTH..

I recently bought a red tail boa with his set up. He didn't come with a UTH however. Instead he only has a ceramic heat emitter. His enclouser on the hot side is staying around 85 with it on. Do I need to get a undertank heater so he has something heating is belly or is it fine with just his heat emitter?

You want to create a hot spot closer to 90 for him. I would recommend going with an under tank heater vs the CHE since those can be drying, and you will likely fight to keep the humidity right. Make sure you also get a thermostat for the UTH.

Would the zoomed heat mats be okay to use? Those are the only ones avaliabe by me unless I ordered online but I would have to wait for a few days for it to arrive. Would it be okay to wait a few days if I ordered flexwatt heat tape. I have heard people say that works really well and it is also cheaper then of the zoomed heaters around me..

Either will work... make sure you use whichever you choose in conjuction with a thermostat / rheostat / dimmer because either one can get too hot just plugged in.
