Q: crust on mouth

In Relation To:

Hashbrown [#979]

Hashbrown has a weird crust on his mouth.  He's shedding so I'm going to see if it goes away after.  It's not wet and it won't come off.  Any ideas?

I'm reading that sometimes corn snakes get a little crust on their mouth right before they shed.  That seems so weird... his husbandry is great I don't see how he could possibly have stomatitis..

It's really only on the outside of the mouth, on his actual skin, not his gums.. and the inside of his mouth looks fine.  If it's still there after his shed I'll take him to the vet.. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen something like this.

I have never seen that before. But maybe it just has something to do with the fact he's scaleless? Idk.

Did he give a reason why that is "Normal"

no, he didn't give a reason, he just said he'd seen it before and it should shed out.
