What is the best way to determine the diameter of a perch for a green tree python?  Right now I have a neonate, only a month or so old.

+1 to DOOMS answer on that one I have a yearling on 1/2 inch PVC now and I have another 3/4 inch piece in the back that it only really goes on when cruising and never peraches on it

I agree with Dooms answer there as well.  As my two have grown, they have always opted for a perch where their coils just touch underneath it.

Generally you will match the diameter of the animal.  Babies perch pretty well on plastic coat hangers...I also use small branches.  Then you increase the size as the animal grows.

Agree with MegF.  But it's always a good idea to offer a variety.

soooo pretty much there are not a ton of pictures posted of your GTP but if its still the size as the small picture I would just use a coat hanger and if it is that size I would also consider moving it to a small bin as well..
