Q: Ghost boa or Hypo?

In Relation To:

Topaz [F 004 bci hypo]

I traded my plumbing expertise for this aesome boa, I was told she was a ghost but started to have some doubts so I put some pre shed pics of her up on Fb. Granted she was pretty dark and my camera is of questionable quality, but the general concesus was that she is a hypo.... I can deal with that but now that she shed earlier today I am back to wondering.......She seems a little coppery for a ghost based on what I've seen but seems a little washed out for a hypo.  I am just lookin for some fresh opinions and some sage advise.

Pre shed and post shed pics!!

I may have future questions about breeding possibilities.  Thanks everyone!!   Smile

I'd like to see a couple post shed ones in natural light.

In anticipation of the breeding question you may have, do you know what the parents of this Boa were?

Do you think the person you got it from said or meant (?) DH Ghost?

I think the guy I got it from isn't really a snake person!  He said it came from KG Constrictors and I haven't been able to verify that even. It is possible then that she is DH Ghost.  As far as natural light, it was rainy and overcast here in Seattle so I didn't wnat to take her outside for a good pic. I was thinking about my DH Sunglow as a good mate for her, they should be ready to breed at about the same time.

Well, knowing the price he paid for the animal would give you an idea - Ghost would likely go for $100 + higher than a hypo or hypo het anery (DH Ghost) . Also, contact the breeder and simply ask - I've done it before. Acquiring as much info as you can now could prove helpful in the future - like if you breed them and potential customers have questions about the sire.
