My iguana is leaking HELP!

For the past few weeks ive noticed that House my red iguanas tail has been swelling around the base. i just figured he was getting ready to go threw a growth spert. now for the past two days hes been spewing a creamish colored liquid from the area to me it looks like sperm and it dosnt seem to be hurting him at all he just lifts his behind to the side and lets it drip out. hes active and eating well. i'm not sure what this sperm like liquid is ive never had an iguana while it was young (always adopted old ones) so im not sure if this is just part of the growing proccess or what but i'm looking to your guys insite before i run him to the vet heres a few pics of teh swollen area sorry there not clearer hes not veryeasy to handle thanks

i have heard of yeast infections among iguanids. get a herp vet to run a slide under a microscope, that should give you an answer.

This is going to sound gross, but what does the liquid smell like? If it smells rancid, you need to get him to a vet asap.

i took him to the vet she said hes just hit sexual materaty she gave me a few good sites to read up on it on and set me on my way

yeah its really gross you can read all about it on this website its the site she had me look at http://www.greenigsociety.org/breedingseason.htm its the grossest piece of info ive ever read she even gave us a toy for him to mate with so gross

i relize this, its a 25inch long stuffed iguana and if i catch him in the act i'll tape it. ive been trying to avoid the cage all the squishy sounds that come from that area are disturbing and just the look of teh stuff is ewwww he only started doing this when i brought anouther male iggy in the house
