Q: Where can I find a baby/juvenile JCP?

I am looking for a jungle carpet breeder in hopes I may purchase one soon. A baby would be ideal but I'll take a juvenile. Not an adult. There are not many reputable breeders in my area, almost none that I am aware of so if anyone can lead me to one, I'd be so greatful! Thanks.

I dont know specifically about jungles, but i know Ben Team, Blueisola, Derek Roddy, and im sure a few others on this site have some babies for sale. You could also check ACReptiles.com. I cant wait to see what you find.

Be sure to always ask for pics of the parents.... if they can't provide them don't buy... Alot of people are selling these intergrades that arent pure jungle... they all look similar as babies .... If the parents aren't Banded with bright yellow , don't buy them

Kai- went to the web link and while those are nice, think I could find one possibly cheaper? Don't mean to sound cheap but I don't know what these guys go for anyway.

You're gonna pay between 250-500 for real jungles...... If you see them for 150 bucks then they are probaby coastalx jungle intergrades..... You really get what you pay for...... BUt 3 years down the road... when your snakes is bright yellow and black you wont be sorry

www.ectotherms.net Will Bird is so much the man. we went to visit him and his jungles are really nice. his prices are fair too. i was most impressed at how down to earth he is. really, give him a look!

Andrew Hare has some beautiful JCPs from outstanding adults. JCPs are likely to look like the parents. You can get dirt cheap snakes from Kingsnake and the like, but you'll likely end up with muddy looking adults. If you want that clean yellow and black, go to a breeder who has adults with those qualities. It'll cost you more, but why get an ugly snake when you can get a nice one?

Thanks, been sending emails all day! I really appreciate all the help. As I said in one of my emails, most of my snakes were rescues and they all more than made up for their prices with all the work I've had to do with them.

I don't work with pure jungles but do work with nice 75% diamond x jungles.  It all depends what you are looking for, asethetics or pure blood lines for breeding purposes.  You can look in my blog under my profile to see the diamond crosses that I have available. Their mother , Ada, is all yellow and black without a speck of dirt or white on her and the sire is from really great Will Bird stock.  Feel free to ask me any questions if anything strikes your fancy.  And best wishes finding what you are looking for.  As Chris Behof said, check out moreliapythons.com for some of the best carpet breeders in the country!

I'm not looking for anything fancy, just pretty bright colors and nice patterns. As it turns out though, my husband may be getting laid off so I have to cut back on looking for new babies. Thanks for everyone's help though....I'll keep it all in mind if things get better.
