Q: Bumblebee wobble question.

Bumble Bee [BB01]

I have a bumblebee and I know that the wobble is common in them.  I was wondering why is it an undesirable trait?  Does it mean that something is physically wrong with the snake?  I've gotten mixed answers from other people I have asked, but I don't understand why if its not life threatening to the snake then why are they considered less desirable.

It's a nurological issue,  probably the effect of a weak gene in the bumblebees  and a few other BP morphs

Michael is right.  It is a neurological problem that goes along with the spider gene, and any combo that has the spider gene (bumblebee is spider and pastel).  It varies per animal, from barely noticable to extreme.  In the worst cases it can end up causing severe corkscrewing, to the extent the animal has a hard time eating.

Many people are against it due to the fact that it is a "man made" animal, with an obvious issues, and they think it is wrong to breed an animal for profit because it is pretty.  Many will also argue they can make wonderful pets if cared for well, even though there is little chance they would make it in nature.  That is pretty much the sum of the two arguments.

Well my bumblebees' wobble is pretty obvious, but she eats extremely well, I just wanted to make sure the condition wouldn't get worse.  I mean we've had many snakes and we currently have 10 at the moment, I've never experienced a snake that had a wobble.  She is my favorite snake and I consider her a pet not just something I want to breed to.  I wanna make sure there isn't anything preventative I could do.

There is no cure for a nuro issue  it's in their genes just acomidate  them in any way You can   you can give the animal substrait that has a bit more grab  for stability  and such  but you cant cure it
