How much does she weigh? she might be off feed wanting to breed not sure y she would all of a sudden stop. What are her temps and humidity.

I just checked her tracking it says the last time she ate was 6/19/13 is that correct?

She is probably just being a ball Python ...   I don't see why  who produced the feed animal would matter  unless  they kept their animals on cedar bedding .. I got a bunch of rats from someone  who used cedar and my boas wouldnt touch them ..

Joe no that isn't correct, I haven't bin on the site since a few days after that feeding. Up to 5 weeks ago she was eating 1 small rat a week like clock work. her temp are all good and I keep her on brown paper towel. The guy at the pet shop also said she might of stopped eating cause she wants to mate. If so how long will she go not eating if that is the reason? roughly.

Ahem...........my big female Andromeda didn't eat for 18 months. Just keep offering. They'll take it eventually.

What are you measuring your temps with? Hot and cool side. What is your heat source? Are feeding live or F/T?

I know you said the temps are good, but unless you've just checked them, they could be off from what you think - I know because it's happened to me, so it's the first theing I check. Depending on what temp the cage is - both ambient and the hot spot, you could try raising it a couple degrees. If the ambient isn't somewhere around 78-82F, that could be why she's not eating. Is the house running a bit cooler than usual?

Oh. 18 months is NOT normal. But she's still here and she's 12 yo. So, I just figure she knew what she was doing.

With a female that's only the size to eat a sm rat, I wouldn't think it'd be breeding related. I would bet something in her set-up is not to her liking.

I check everyday, her setting are the same. I haven't added or removed anything from her cage. Weight I'm not shore i will weigh her and tell you. Age like i have said b4 i got her from a pet store and they didn't know her age all they told me was she was a sub adult. Like u said the only thing that changed was the food supplier.

When you say the settings are the same, it doesn't give us anything to go on so that we may be able to offer suggestions.

Her hot side is 78F? Her cool side should be a minimum of 78 and the hot spot should be 87-90F. If the hot spot is as you said above, I will bet that is the issue and not the feeder source.

It's always bin like that though and she always ate? she don't like her hot side hotter if I up it she leaves it and stays on her cold side. I don't mean to be difficult if I am its just she very special She always bin nervous, I think her previous owner didn't treat her right.

BPs need a range of temperatures in order to thermoregulate. Providing her access to the temps I mentioned above is what is needed. That is a basic husbandry need. Most will move to the hot spot and that higher temp is needed for proper digestion, some also move to the heat when in the shed cycle. Otherwise they typically keep themselves at a temp of 82. It's up to her where she hangs out, but she does need access to that range.

just letting you's know I got her hot side up to 88 so I will update you on if she eats her rat when I answer George's question on her weight.

I recommend that she have those temps for a few days before you offer. That'll give her metabolism a chance to get going.

How's it going? Have you been able to maintain the temp of her hot spot? How's her ambient?

her temp is steady at 88 she bin leaving her hide to cool down and going back when she wants. I tried feeding her today but she still didn't take it. I left it in her cage, it's bin about an hour now but she still didn't eat it. Her eyes are in blue haze so I think she going to shed even though she use to still eat even while shedding. I just don't understand the sudden drop in not eating, she is still active and loves being out even loves getting a bath (in which she shows no signs of mites)

I don't know if I did this right my wife got a scale for baking that has g/lb/oz and I just used it to wiegh susie and I got 1049g

That sounds about right for a BP eating a small rat. 

Does she have an open screen top or do you have something that covers most of it?

it's a metal top but I got half of it blocked to keep her moisture up.

Her set up sounds good. I think the increased temps are gonna end up making the difference. Let her shed off and then offer.

My girl that I mentioned previously weighed 2,020 g on Nov 2nd. I just weighed her and she's only down to 1,993 g. And she hasn't taken food in 16 weeks.

William - it'll be nice that you now have a weight. It will serve as a good reference point in the event she does continue to fast. Unless she has significant weight loss, there's likely no need for concern.
