Q: Where can I get a 6' x 3' x 2' cage?

So I'm looking for a 6' long by 3' wide by 2' tall cage for either a gold tegu or an ackie. I'm about to be a freshman in college, so I'm looking for whatever is the least costly yet will still hold proper heat and humidity. I've been looking at boamaster 6' by 3' melamine, but I've heard some bad reviews out of them, so I'm not sure whether that would be the best place to order from. Please leave your suggestions. Thank you!

For a cage that size you're going to have to spend some $$$$$$$. That size from from Animal Plastics is $640.

honestly, for something that large, your cheapest option would be to get a piece of furniture used and modify it, or make a build from scratch. it will take some elbow grease, but it would be the most cost-effective.

And for the closest Vision cage V632 (Size: 72" W x 36" D x 18" H) it's $625 and you'll have to add shipping - I think the Vision allows for one light fixtures on top.

The Vision would be lighter weight.

I actually have the 6 footer from Boamasters. It holds temps/humidity (2 -90 watt RBI heat pannels on a herpstat) well but the owner Mark can be either hit or miss. I usually place an order & pick it up personally at the Hamburg Pa show to save on shipping. I have a few 4 footers & they worked out good, my 6' looked like it may have bounced around a little in the truck with a few scratch on the back corners. They didnt hurt the structure, can't be seen, & the price was decent. Even though my experience has been good I heard both good & bad about the enclosure but also seen that he usually works out any problems with anyone who is unhappy. The biggest problem I noticed in BIO post is he seems a little un-organized & is not great with communication all methods. I'm not to sure where your located but if ordering & picking up at a show where I can over look things I would do it business with him again but only on enclosures.

Also just a FYI the melamine are really heavy & the 6 footer is deep & a pain to reach all the way in the back of at times when cleaning depending how high off the floor you keep it. I have an extra 4 foot in a stack & think evenually rather then buying another 6 footer I may just cut a hole in the bottom of one, top of another, & frame a little path to connect the two since my reptile room isn't the biggest. 2 of the 4 footers cost the same as a 6 footer & since you mentioned college I'm thinking you might not have the extra space like me so figured I would throw out that idea too.

the six footer

the 4 foot stack
