Q: Are red pits normal for an Amazon tree boa ?

Hi everybody! I am new to this site and have an urgent question. Any feedback is appreciated. Anyhow, I have an Amazon Tree Boa which I've had since a neonate and is now approximately 1.5 years old. Recently I discovered his heat pits were quite red and maybe I am being overly cautious but I do not feel as if the were pink before. I am wondering if this is related to husbandry error or if this is actually quite normal?

Not that the picture is the clearest, but I don't see any reason for cocern at this point. You'll get some color and tint changes from day to day on these...on younger ones especially pinkish tones in that area are pretty prevalent the pits themselves are just just skin with lots of nerve endings.

You can see even on this adult the pinkish hue in the pits...

Thanks, Brad! I thought I had seen it before on a couple of my Gardens, but couldn't find a pic showing it - and of course, both those Gardens are currently in shed.
