Q: Probing question

I have a Diamond Jungle Jag Carpet Python that I bought unsexed when it was 6 months old it's now 18 months old. I keep checking his sheds  for signs of "sperm plugs" but none as of yet. I have probed him twice on two different occasions and I count 10 scales on the right and 9 on the left. He weighs 1250 grams. My question is at what age, size, weight should he be sexually mature? Also with that scale count from the probing, is it safe to say it's a male? Thanks!

Definitely a male, i would say 3 years but the specialised keepers will give more detailed advice.
