Q: Best place to buy GTP?
Posted By:

I've been looking at a lot of sites lately, and I've looked over sites like signal herp, and brass jungle arboreals. I've just wondered what you all believe to be the best breeder of GTPs, and whether it should be a commercialized breeder or just a smaller breeder.

I dont personally think there's a "best" breeder, though there are a lot of really good breeders to choose from. IMO the best place to browse for and learn about chondros is the MVF forum.

And if you dont find anything in the MVF classifieds, at the top of the classifieds page there is a list of chondro breeders who frequent the site.

You can definitely learn a lot from reading the posts on MVF. They are very helpful with any questions, too. Lots of good info on that site. And I agree with Nate and gfx, their classifieds is a good place to look.

I do have to agree with Chris. Signal Herp. Rico has a wide variety to choose from. From really high end to affordable for the new Chondro owner. He's a great guy and yes, he's gotten quite a bit of my money as well! Unless there is a certain local-type or designer-type you are interested in, give his stuff a look-see! Although he does breed nearly year round, things tend to thin out in the next few months.

It does depend on how much you want to spend and do you want a neo, a sub-adult, or adult? If not a neo, then MVF classifieds usually has a good selection. Just do your research, be patient, and good luck!!

Might want to stay away from Kingsnake, unless it's an ad from a breeder.

**Coughs** Uh, Chris...I do believe your darling Mandi bought one of those Rico critters for your best Christmas present ever!!! Hello!!!! LOL!!

I've bought from www.signalherp.com and a number of the breeders on MVF. Can't speak well enough about either.
