My best suggestion would be to get him to a vet for a fecal analysis at the very least - his abnormal stool could be a sign of parasites. As far as the "crackling" noise, again, a vet should look at that to make sure it isn't an RI. Good luck

I've never had a snake with obvious gas problems. My dog definitely does, but that's not so unusual for a dog. I think I'd be a bit concerned about that. Maybe better consider getting him to a vet. Do you have a good herp vet in your area?

Yep, I'm with Katie on this one. A vet visit is definitely in order to check for internal parasites and a Respiratory infection.
What temps have you been keeping him at?

i've picked up chondros and had that "crackle" in the gut, gas and feces and what not movin on down and shakin' it up... but it's more like a gurgle than a crackle.
but there's also the lung rattle... hold the animal somewhat still, around the lungs, and wait for it to breathe. you can feel a lung rattle sometimes....
fecal test = good idea

Is this guy imported... I know there arent a ton of people CB these guys...... I would get a fecal.... could be a plethera of things........... My blood pythoins have gurgly gas... so it's not unheard of..... it may need a series of antiparasitics... ie Flagyl and Panacur... I always treat imports with both of these 2-3 times

Is it a popping sound? If it is it may be a respitory infection.
