Okay I've been told to check the calcium sacks in the gecko girls mouths, how do I do this, how often, and is this only done for breeding? Because I still have a long LONG time to go, if so!

I would do a check now because they are growing. Then do it again before they start breeding and the piriodicly threw out the breeding season. They should be very low right now because they have been on a babyfood diet. Because you have females place a bottle cap of calcium with absoluty NO D3 in it. CGD has enough D3 in it for the geckos to absorb calcium. Any more D3 than that and they can die from it. Having the cup of calcium avalible will make it so they will come up and lick what ever extra calcium they need. Theres multipul ways to get your girls to open there mouths my personale favorite is the rubber spachula. I gently wedge the spachula in there mouths. Sometime they bite down on it but they will always open there mouths again for you to see there sacs. Some people can get there geckos to open there mouths by rubbing the sides of there mouths to make them gape. The calcium sacs should look oversized and bulging off the roof of teh mouth. Low calcium sacs will be flat or tiny. In an adult there nearly the size of the eyeball itself. What is the gram weight of your girls right now? If there atleast 20 grams your going to have to put a laybox in with them also. Even if they have never been put with a male they will still ovulate and lay infertal eggs.

OMG. Cresteds have calcium sacs in their mouths? I've seen the calcium sacs in the arm pits of Leos, like air bags. This must be the same kind of thing. Never had Cresteds before.
I learn something new on here every day!
