In Relation To:

Kyrah's Colony
Gieko (one of the Gecko girls) is not using her hind legs! she tries to move them but its like she is walking in mud, and can't go know where. Her hind toes are still sticky and she still grips all surfaces. I took her out earlier today and she was fine, But when I took her out just now she was walking funny. I also noticed she has a full shed still on, Could the shed be causing this wierd "stuck in the mud" walk? Or can this be that bone desese? I/m really upset about this. I mist twice a day, humidity is good, CGD everynight, crickets twice a week, temperature is good. Can someone please help?

She could have stuck shed. One thing you can do is use a deli cup with a paper towel on the bottom, add warm water and let your gecko have this as a "sauna". You want it with enough water that her undersides are soaking, but not that she can drown in it. Let her in this for 15-20 minutes, gently use a damp q-tip and see if you can gently roll the shed down off of her. If it is still too tight you can do this sauna a couple of times a day.
Could also be that she would have had a calcium crash. Do you have any idea weight on her, how long have you owned her where you know she was getting the proper diet?

Here is a video of how to give a crested a "bath":  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSuirE906p0

I find her stuff very helpful, and have watched most her videos.  When you give her crickets, are you dusting them with calcium powder first?

If it's not that it could be one of two things
A. a calcium problem are you using calcium with no D3 when you dust?
B. it could be an ivader i'd order E-fix and N-Fix on the double.
